Welcome to the VS BLOG

Jerry Freilich is one of the Vocal Seniority
The Vocal Seniority was formed after Trump’s election when a group of us realized that we had to do something, anything, to protest and oppose his ghastly policies. We also realized that we all needed collective group therapy. So the Vocal Seniority was our way of joining hands with other Progressive minds in the community and working to make the world a better place for all.  In 2025 we changed our name to Indivisible Bend to reflect our openness to members of all ages who share our values.

With Biden’s win we celebrate a moment of joy and freedom. But the sobering fact
that millions voted for the Would-Be Tyrant shows us that there’s still much to be done.
How, we wonder, could millions of Americans imagine that having a dictator could be
preferable to living in a Democracy?  At the same time, we celebrate the great advances we made in local politics.

As Indivisible Bend moves forward our goals and methods will need to change. We know that many in Central Oregon share these feelings and these concerns. So in this time of change and review, we urge you readers to share your feelings.

There are various places where people can post letters or express views. Getting a letter into the Bend Bulletin or The Source can be challenging. Social media like FaceBook are obvious venues and we hope to increase our presence there. But today we offer one more Forum where you are invited to express your feelings and share your ideas with other like-minded folks.

Use this page to share with our 300+ followers. Submissions may be up to 350 words long and deal with any subject. Any reader can submit a single entry per month.  We strongly urge a positive view, respect for others, no personal attacks, and temperate language. Submissions will be moderated by Indivisible Bend and may be edited for brevity or clarity. Please submit your text by email to: info@indivisiblebend.org.  You may submit a picture to accompany your text but that is optional and up to you.
